Mattisse Bread makes tasty gluten free bread, and also operates a Bakery/Cafe serving a quality variety of delicious gluten free options. BREAD There are two varieties of gluten free bread: Sourdough Buckwheat Loaf - Great for sandwiches, toast and anything else where you crave a real, authentic slice of bread. Using buckwheat as its base ingredient, as well as gluten-free sourdough ferment, the result is a firm, aerated loaf. Fruit Loaf - Cranberries, figs, dates and sultanas plump up this delicious fruit loaf, which contains both buckwheat and tapioca flour. No sourdough culture is used in this loaf. Trade enquiries are welcome. BAKERY/CAFE Mattisse Bread roast their own home blend coffee. Everything sold in the cafe is made in-house, and this include gluten free sandwiches (made from their bread), pizzas, pasta and cookies. The Mattisse Bread facility is HACCP certified, and the gluten free bread is tested periodically to maintain its gluten free status. There's a separate gluten free area where ingredients and packaging are stored. Gluten free bread is prepared at separate times to other breads (first thing in the morning), using completely different equipment. The cafe is open Mon-Fri 7am-4pm and Sat 8am-1pm.
