Un corps gras peut parfois compléter la présentation du produit. Les myrtilles fraîches doivent être soigneusement inspectées à la recherche d'un insecte, le "maggot" en anglais (insecte ou larve?), profondément enfoncé dans le fruit.
APRES LAVAGE OUVRIR CHAQUE MIRTILLE AVEC UN COUTEAU DE CUISINE LES PERSONNES AVISEES PREFERENT S'EN ABSTENIR (LE VER PRESENT DANS LA MIRTILLE EST DANGEREUX POUR LA SANTE)
